Arko Mukherjee Collective in collaboration with Yomgo River Festival, Aalo, Arunachal Pradesh presents a unique contemporary folk jam on two iconic folk songs one from Gandharva origin, Nepal and the other, a children's tribal song from the Aboriginal Australian community.

Radha Piyari is a beautiful Nepali Gandharva folk song performed and popularized by the legendary Jhalak Man Gandharva from Batulechaur, Pokhara, Nepal and Inanay is an ancient traditional Australian aboriginal song, previously recorded by Tiddas. This video aims at celebrating the traditions and diversities of the different tribes, across India and the entire world and prays for a sense of unity and integrity amongst us all as human beings, irrespective of our differences in cultures, traditions and practices. The video is shot in Aalo Arunachal Pradesh, India, within a beautiful traditional Galo tribal community, at the Yomgo River Festival, West Siang District. Here, in this video, in a free journey through these very old traditional songs, we would like to help forget the pains of loss, oppression and migration that has happened historically all over the world. The intent is to come together through a musical celebration of a very diverse and hence beautiful world.
Our gratitude to West Siang District Administration and Department of Tourism
and all the people from Kabu village and Paya Village along with the entire population of Aalo town, Arunachal Pradesh. We would also like to thank the Gandharva Community from Batulechaur, Nepal for being beside us and the entire Aboriginal Community from Australia for gifting the world with such an enormous bundle of joy with their music.
